An English Angst is a drama, set against the backdrop of the UK EU referendum.
Charlotte has built a life and career for herself in Frankfurt. She runs her own radio station, TransEURadio, but after 10 years on air the listener figures have been dropping and a British consultant promises to put the station “back on the right path”. However, their paths have crossed before and Charlotte is now forced to deal with past events. Then, as the referendum results roll in, suddenly her place in Europe is put into question. She feels abandoned by her own country. Once again.
An English Angst is an original script by Anna Rogers. The British vote to leave the EU was a shock for the world. It was a particular shock for Britons living across the EU. It is a shock for Charlotte. What next for Europe? The UK? For TransEURadio? For Charlotte?
